Mr. Fraley is the Executive Director of Shelter of Hope Inc. where he manages the broad operational aspects of the nonprofit organization, imparting critical input on marketing, public relations, finances and accounting, grant writing, program development, and human resources administration. His tenure with the company began in 2021 when he was appointed to the very first designated role of Assistant Director, after which he transitioned to the Executive Director position. Today, Mr. Fraley is actively seeking pathways to advance the organization's reach to assist even more families in need of permanent stable housing and necessary community resources to ensure they can achieve stability and prosperity.
Community outreach is a significant part of Mr. Fraley's responsibilities at Shelter of Hope, as is grant writing and fundraising efforts to support the agency's mission of implementing viable housing programs and providing case management and street outreach services for the homeless. He also partners with the community to assemble adequate volunteer teams, and as a Service Prioritization Decision Assistance Tool Assessment Trainer, he educates community professionals on appropriate means to adequately assess the complex needs to manage person centered, strength-based resource development, allocation, and distribution to the homeless population in Kentucky's FIVCO Area Development District.
Mr. Fraley boasts excellent academic achievements, including a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Western Kentucky University (WKU), which he completed in 2016. He also completed post undergraduate education in real estate, nonprofit management, and social work. Vital industry certifications are also important to his work with the public sector as Mr. Fraley seeks additional training and scholarly depth by pursuing a Master's degree in the near future as well as pursuing many business ventures outside of Shelter of Hope, Inc. To thoroughly meet the needs of the population with whom he works, he also completed the Yale University School of Medicine PRIME Clinic training program to secure the Certified Structured Interview for Psychosis-Risk Syndrome (SIPS) Assessor credentials in August 2020.
Mr. Fraley brings deep professional experience to his current appointment, including one concurrent position as the Chief Executive Officer of LVF Executive Management Group, LLP, and Victorian Grace Community Services, which he undertook in 2019. From 2019 to 2023, he served multiple roles as a residential manager at ResCare Community Living, a target case manager with Pathways, Inc. Additionally, Chris relies on ample applied experience as a professional in the intellectual and developmental disabilities division of human services, specifically Kentucky's Supports for Community Living and Michelle P. Waivers.
Believing heartily in the power of camaraderie and civic service, he has been recognized in various ways for his stellar contributions to his community. For example, in 2015, he received the Outstanding Leadership Award from the National Resident Hall Honorary and Housing and Residence Life of WKU and induction into the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels in December 2022. Chris has been a part of the American Public Health Association as an abstract reviewer in 2017 and 2022 for their annual event.
Mr. Fraley is proud to advocate for others, in part because of his personal experience with a significant hearing impairment and speech impediment. He also aims to be an inspiring example for people facing unique challenges and hopes to yield a positive impact on those whom he mentors. Additionally, Mr. Fraley credits his parents, Misty Blankenship and Tarzan Fraley's exemplary model of focus and determination, as well as their encouragement to always follow his passion deliberately.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Fraley plans to continually advance Shelter of Hope and promote his entrepreneurial efforts, including the LVF Executive Management Group, which he launched in 2021 with his business partners Anita Vanderpool and Jonathon Lewis; as the current Chief Executive Officer, he is actively involved in promoting the company to elevate its profile and secure its place as a significant part of his productive legacy. As for Shelter of Hope, Inc., he is proudly hosting the Appalachian Affordable Housing Summit scheduled for July 10-11, 2023, in Huntington, WV. Finally, Mr. Fraley is developing the Slay Rides and LVF Xpress, which will provide affordable vacations (Slay Rides, LLP) and transportation for homeless individuals and families across the state (LVF XPRESS).
