Leveraging more than a decade of excellence in education administration and leadership, Dr. Taylor has earned distinction as a professional educator and educational consultant with Learning Never Stops (Taylormade). Since 2016, he has focused his efforts on consulting work regarding adolescent development. His goal is to support public schools and address some of the gaps in the system for handling student behaviors, fostering improved relationships between teachers and students.
Prior to starting his private career, Dr. Taylor served honorably as an administrative specialist with the United States Army and National Guard from 1979 until receiving an honorable discharge in 1988. In recognition of his dedicated service, he was honored with a Letter of Achievement, a Governor's Award for Total Quality Management, and a Good Conduct Medal.
Following his military service, Dr. Taylor began his career as a coordinator of the youth ministry for the local Christian Assembly in 1989 until 1998. During this time, he also was a research analyst for the State of Arizona from 1992 until 2004. He was a classroom teacher at T G Barr and Bush Middle School where he served as a lead teacher and mentor from 2004 to 2009. Later he would go onto serve as a school administrator and assistant principal for the Roosevelt School District from 2009 until 2016, and during this time, he was a school administrator with the C. J. Jorgensen School and Percy L. Julian School. He served as a middle school science teacher from 2019 to 2022.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Taylor earned a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and public relations from the University of Louisiana, Monroe in 1988. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Arts in elementary education from the University of Phoenix in 2004 and a Doctor of Education in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University in 2009. Well-qualified in his field, he holds numerous professional certifications, including as a principal, teacher, teacher evaluator and mentor. He is the author of the book "Wired - To Fight! To Battle! To Win! - Against the Miseducation of Minority Children."
Within the coming years, Dr. Taylor intends to rise to a position as a professor while continuing his counseling work developing the skills of teachers in classrooms. His specialties lie in instructional coaching, behavioral counseling, instructional cooperative learning and promoting safety in schools without violence.
