In 2000, he was involved in an accident that left him without his ability to see and hear. However, after months of rehabilitation and a significant amount of hard work, he was able to find his footing and pursue his career unhindered. During the early stages of his professional life, Mr. Jarreau worked as a consultant in the telecommunications industry and worked as manager of international technology for MTEL.
Over the years, Mr. Jarreau also served with such companies as WorldCom, MTEL PACECO, and DuPont, and worked as a bid team member for PACECO on a U.S. Department of Defense contract resulting in a $39 million dollar contract award. Alongside his work, he dedicates himself to others as a member of the board of advisors for the Mississippi Hearing-Vision Project in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. An expert in his field, Mr. Jarreau holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Mississippi State University, as well as an MBA in finance and economics. Similarly, he has expanded upon his knowledge by completing postgraduate studies in high-level finance and was Series 7 licensed to trade on equity and financial markets in the United States. Though hard work and dedication have brought him far, he credits his success to realizing the need for help in the deaf-blind community. In the next five to ten years, Mr. Jarreau aims to obtain a solid donor base for the DeafBlind Community of Mississippi.
