Leveraging more than two decades of excellence as an intelligence analyst, Ms. Nichols has earned distinction as the global head of strategic intelligence for Invesco Ltd. Since 2016, she has focused her efforts on supervising teams in Atlanta, the United Kingdom and Asia, reviewing global intelligence briefings and informing concerned parties within the organization about specific issues her teams identify through social media and other sources. Additionally, she has been a lecturer for the Georgia Institute of Technology Sam Nunn School for International Affairs since 2022, teaching courses in strategic business intelligence.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Nichols began her career as an intern for "The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News TV in 2003 and became a project assistant for King and Spalding in 2004. She then served as a political analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency in 2005 until taking a role as a supervisory intelligence analyst for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in 2011. She also co-authored "Here's how businesses can adapt to a changing risk landscape," which was featured in the World Economic Forum in 2023.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Nichols earned a bachelor's degree in international relations and critical languages from Samford University in 2004. Following this achievement, she attained a master's degree in international studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007. Well-qualified in her field, she completed a program in human rights law and an international summer school in forced migration with the University of Oxford's department of international development in 2009.
Within the coming years, Ms. Nichols intends to write a book about how she and her team developed strategic intelligence while continuing to build the program at the Georgia Institute of Technology and helping Invesco Ltd. increase its customer base.
