Prior to striking out on her own as a consultant, she worked as the quality associate director of oncology for Natera. Between 2020 and 2023, she implemented infrastructure within quality management systems to support IVD/bio-pharma-related activities and maintained responsibility for the implementation of new programs, tests, methods, instrumentation, and procedures.
Over the years, Ms. Bobey worked as the senior validation manager of Talis Biomedical Corporation, a staff quality assurance scientist with Beckman Coulter, where she led quality representation for life science and medical device product development teams, and as the lead validation quality engineer for Boston Scientific. During the early stages of her career, Ms. Bobey gained valuable expertise in engineering and research through Nutek Corporation, Novartis, Fluidigm Corporation, BD Bioscience, UCSF, and Irwin Memorial Blood Bank.
Outside of her work, Ms. Bobey aligns herself with higher minded pursuits including Centers of Spiritual Living and a daily Wuji Gong practice focused on health and healing. An expert in her field, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from California Polytechnic State University, which she earned before her career's inception in 1988. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in the impactful work she did while at Natera focused on oncology. The cornerstone of her success lay with her mother, who had been a considerable influence on her life. Within the coming years, Ms. Bobey aims to obtain another leadership position in the field of oncology or in a start-up position through which she can use her skills to help the company and others, as well as foster her passion for songwriting.
