As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
An accomplished entrepreneur and inventor, Luke Ho-Hyung Lee holds more than three decades of professional expertise in business development. In 2018, he became the founder, chief executive officer and original developer of the inter-supply-chain-net, SharedChain. SharedChain is a patented, integrated e-commerce and shared supply chain system that uses internet technology and a local warehouse-based distribution system with consolidated transportation of products, to dramatically cut supply chain expenses and risks.
At the start of his professional endeavors, Mr. Lee worked at Dong-Suh Securities, Inc., a major financial firm in South Korea, as a manager for its international businesses, having overseen the planning and development of overseas real estate and later managing three international offices in New York, London and Tokyo. Subsequently, he founded and operated two manufacturing companies for slot-wall boards and commercial displays with plants in South Korea and China. Mr. Lee notably built these companies from scratch, constructing the production lines, developing the logistics and supply chain networks, hiring and training factory workers and developing management and marketing teams.
In 2016, Mr. Lee launched several small businesses in the Atlanta area, including Ubiquitous Marketplace System Inc., where the idea for a shared e-commerce and supply chain process system began to take shape. Among his primary work, he is a contributor to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals' Supply Chain Quarterly and the Huffington Post, utilizing his years as an international economist to present insightful ideas and news in his field. In addition, he has lectured at the Korea Development Institute.
Finding great success throughout the course of his career, Mr. Lee was named a Top 10 Young Entrepreneur in Korea by the major economic newspaper, Maeil Business Newspaper. He has also been recognized for his three years of service in the Korean Army, where he worked with a United States 3-Star General. At the time, their unit was the biggest military unit in the world, as they had more than 100,000 soldiers on the command.
Mr. Lee earned a Bachelor of Laws in his native South Korea and later achieved a Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1986. Attributing his vast success to his natural gifts as a businessman, he looks forward to the continued growth and success of his business and the supply chain industry. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and taking walks on the beach.
