Ms. Howard is an independent consultant and pharmaceutical executive celebrating more than 20 years of expertise in various phases of clinical and commercial elements of the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to consulting, Ms. Howard worked on projects in various roles and positions of increasing responsibility, including a process and business overhaul as Site Leader of a South Carolina facility that resulted in a 67% increase in revenue in under a year, and she has served as a subject matter expert on several multimillion-dollar projects. Since 2018, she has been an independent consultant for Quality Executive Partners (QxP), where her work focuses on helping clients develop quality assurance and regulatory compliance strategies, including the creation and management of third-party oversight and reporting systems. Earlier executive positions have included terms as a senior manufacturing manager supporting both drug substance and drug product project management from clinical through commercialization, and an eight-year career with an organization in Cleveland, OH, during which she rose from a focus factory manager to senior program manager gaining experience in Consent Decree Program Management.
An alum of East Carolina University, Ms. Howard holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Spanish. She began her career in 2001 as a microbiology technician for a pharmaceutical company in the eastern portion of NC and quickly diversified her hands-on lab experience to include specializations in aseptic processes and promotion to supervisor for lyophilization and terminal sterilization. While Ms. Howard is an expert in project management and process development, she is motivated by her experience as an individual which values the importance of quality, operations, and engineering principles, and her desire to make a positive impact on the staff and clients of each company for which she consults. She considers emotional intelligence and building rapport with others to be key to her success, and is proud to help mentor the next generation of professionals in her field.
In recognition of her commitment to excellence, Ms. Howard has been presented with awards including a 2020 joint honor for contributions to a project or organization. In the coming years, she looks forward to continuing to build her independent consulting business with the eventual goal of building a physical location for onsite training and workshops. Outside her work in manufacturing, Ms. Howard is active in community outreach projects including The 1982 Foundation and Panty Claus (sponsored by QxP), a fundraising project donating underwear, body care, and hygiene products to participants receiving services from homeless shelters in five states, and has participated in Habitat for Humanity and the United Way. In her personal time, she enjoys bowling, golf, and playing with her dog, and is an avid creator with a passion for drawing.
