In this capacity he independently designs and assembles products and prototypes for medical, automotive, and banking systems including miniature electronics-filled capsules to ultrasound occupancy systems.
Mr. Pollack initially began his career working as an electrical systems designer at Delco Electronics from 1986 until 1993. Between 1993 and 2001, he garnered expertise as a senior electrical engineer at Vetronix and Santa Barbara Infrared. Following these posts, Mr. Pollack continued his vocation in a similar capacity at Agility Communications for two years. He served as the electrical engineering manager at Inogen Inc. from 2004 until 2020. Most recently from 2020 through 2022, Mr. Pollack designed radiation detector equipment for land, sea and air applications for Sensor Technology.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Pollack pursued an education at the University of California in Santa Barbara, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1986. His emphasis was in controls and sensors. As a commitment to his field, he supports the development of young engineers and created a summer electronics program for high school students. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Pollack contributes to his local community, mentoring children in engineering and mathematics and 20 years of active volunteering with youth soccer.
Reflecting on a long career, Mr. Pollack attributes much of his success to his passion for his specialty and to his ability to serve in his profession. Looking toward the future, he aspires to release his latest project, a pool safety system, which will help prevent drownings with the assistance of a wrist alarm strap that will activate when wet. Additionally, Mr. Pollack hopes to inspire future generations in the industry to pursue their dreams and innovations in the field of engineering.
