HOUSTON, TX, April 28, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dominic Dupré has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Drawing on more than a decade in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Dupré is recognized for his leadership and relationship focus as director of strategic accounts of Dupré Logistics, LLC. Founded by his father in 1980, the transportation and logistics company today operates more than 700 trucks, 1,300 trailers and 1,000 professional drivers. In his role, Mr. Dupré manages the business's top accounts, facilitates successful and strategic relationships, and ensures a high degree of customer engagement.
Prior to embarking upon his professional journey, Mr. Dupré earned a Bachelor of Science in business management, with a focus on entrepreneurship, from Louisiana State University. After graduating in 2011, he pursued a career in oil and gas by accepting a position as a workover rig hand for Key Energy Services. After several months on the job, he advanced to the roles of coil tubing equipment operator with Cetco Energy Services and operations coordinator for Spartan Well Testing. In 2016, Mr. Dupré was recruited to join his family business as area operations manager; he was soon promoted to director of operations, and, in 2021, stepped into his current role as director of strategic accounts.
Mr. Dupré is extremely proud of his business record at Dupré Logistics, LLC. In one particularly proud instance, he took over a business unit that was losing $1 million per year. Within just 24 months, Mr. Dupré had turned that business around, fixing its myriad financial problems and — most importantly — staying in line with the company's values and keeping safety and employee enrichment as top priorities.
When not at work, Mr. Dupré enjoys spending time with his wife and child, participating in outdoor recreation like fishing, hunting and boating, cooking, and listening to music. A volunteer in his local community, he is involved with the Carl McCain Foundation, an organization that provides funding to individuals and families who have worked in the domestic energy industry and who are financially burdened by medical expenses.
Additionally, he donates to and participates in Hope for Opelousas, a nonprofit organization that offers tutoring and mentorship for underprivileged children in Mr. Dupré's Louisiana hometown.
Thinking back on his career to date, Mr. Dupré credits much of his success to his parents, who instilled in him a strong work ethic that still drives him to succeed in all he does. In the future, he hopes to use this passion to start a company of his own or to work as an executive for an organization. In the meantime, Mr. Dupré remains aware of professional developments affecting his field as a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
