HELENA, MT, May 02, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Matthew M. Avard has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Mr. Avard, principal architect and partner at CWG Architecture + Interiors in Helena, Montana, is an expert in commercial design. Initially joining the design firm in 2015, he rose from a project manager to an architect in 2022 before being promoted to his present position in 2023. Over the past decade, he has garnered recognition for his work involving educational, retail, and government facilities. Mr. Avard is presently engaged in a myriad of projects, including the recently completed New East Helena Elementary School in East Helena, Montana in 2018.
Apart from managing design projects from conception to construction, Mr. Avard works closely with clients and oversees staff members to ensure that things are moving in the right direction and that deadlines and budget requirements are being met.
Adding to his professional expertise, Mr. Avard is an active affiliate with the American Institute of Architecture and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
Mr. Avard finds reward in giving back to emerging professionals in the industry to help them continually advance. In the future, he aims to serve more in a leadership or mentorship capacity within his organization to assist others in achieving their goals.
Before joining CWG, Mr. Avard was a project manager at Zerr Berg Architects in Fargo, North Dakota. He was also a teaching assistant in college at NDSU, a concrete finisher at K&L Construction, and a print technician at JLG Architects.
Mr. Avard frequently gives back to his community as a Catholic parish member and as a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also mentors area high school students and volunteers his time with a nearby food bank and Helena Food Share to help individuals with food insecurities. While working toward his degrees, Mr. Avard honorably served as a squad leader in the U.S. Army Reserve between 2006 and 2013.
Prior to embarking on his career, Mr. Avard earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design and a Master of Architecture at NDSU in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Additional educational pursuits to his credit include Procore certification as an associate through Procore Technologies and an architectural license in the states of North Dakota, Montana, Texas and New Mexico.
Mr. Avard remains abreast in his industry as a member of the Construction Specifications Institute and the American Institute of Architects.
