Previously, he worked as a general contractor in Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, Arizona, Nevada, and California. Over the years, he also gained valuable expertise in the field by acquiring a fence and deck company that he absorbed into his own and worked in commercial construction. Throughout his career, Mr. Mullikin has also overseen a jail construction project in Cheyenne, Wyoming, created housing for 21 subdivisions in Texas, and erected off-campus student housing for Arizona State University.

In light of his professional achievements, Mr. Mullikin won a gold medal from Republican Businessmen in 2003 and has received letters of recommendation from many companies for which he worked. While his career has been filled with standout moments, he takes the most pride in providing people with jobs and working on the pipe pile bridge project in Missouri, which solved a flooding problem in two towns that had been underwater for five months. The cornerstone of his overall success lay in his reliability. Looking toward the future, Mr. Mullikin aims to focus on house construction projects and prepare his son to begin working for the company.
