Specializing in business contract law, she also served in her earlier practice, Goodhouse Law, from 2011 to 2020 before shifting to a virtual office at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Notably, Ms. Goodhouse has been named to Super Lawyers' Rising Stars for six consecutive years and to Proactive Resources' Best of Fairfield County in 2016. To prepare for her career in law, Ms. Goodhouse matriculated at the University of Connecticut, where she earned a bachelor's degree in economics with a minor in business administration in 2004 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2007. Additionally, she was a visiting student in banking, corporate, finance and securities law at the Georgetown University Law Center in 2006.
Among her early experience, Ms. Goodhouse was a legal intern and extern for the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General and a law clerk for Northeast Utilities (CL&P, NSTAR, PSNH, WMECO and Yankee Gas). She had also served as a law student observer with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and was a law clerk for the Connecticut Appellate Court between 2005 and 2008. To remain aware of advancements and news in her field, Ms. Goodhouse maintains membership with the Diversity Committee and Privacy Bar of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
In five to 10 years, Ms. Goodhouse aims to transition back to an in-person, vibrant practice so she can best support young professionals new to the field and her practice. With this sentiment, she is already mentoring college students interested in attending law school and looks forward to attaining her certification in data privacy law. In her spare time, she volunteers for local community organizations, is active in philanthropy, and enjoys managing her daughter's soccer team.
