KNOXVILLE, TN, May 11, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Courtney E. Holbert, MSSW, CRA, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Leveraging more than two decades of excellence in capacity building and organizational development, Ms. Holbert has earned distinction as the director of external funding for the University of Tennessee College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. Since 2017, she has focused her efforts on research administration and training for the staff and faculty as well as strategic planning and project management for the college. Additionally, she served as the coordinator for the office of sponsored programs for the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture from 2011 to 2017 and is a valued member of the professional development committee of the Society of Research Administrators International.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Holbert began her career as the development director for Eternal Life's Restoration Outreach in 2003 and was a development assistant with the Knoxville Leadership Foundation in 2005. She was promoted to an administration and grant services coordinator in 2008 and to the grant services coordinator and Knoxville mentoring initiative coordinator in 2010.
Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Holbert was honored with a Rhoda O'Meara Public Welfare Award from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work in 2002. The same year, she also received a BSSW Program Citation for Extraordinary Achievement in Senior Field Practice from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work and was named the MSSW Student of the Year by the Knox Branch of the National Association of Social Workers in 2003. Additionally, she received a Field Instructor Honorable Mention from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work in 2006.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Holbert earned an Associate of Science from Walters State Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. Following these achievements, she attained a Master of Science in Social Work from the same institution. Well-qualified in her field, she is a certified research administrator and holds an eCertificate in change management from Cornell University. Having worked with non-profit organizations for 10 years before assisting universities, Ms. Holbert is proud to have created policies, procedures and guidelines that have engendered a wealth of success for herself and her colleagues.
