Recognized as one of the first cloud-based property management systems, ResNexus was launched in Orem, Utah, in 2005, serving the hospitality sector and specifically bed and breakfasts, inns, boutique hotels, lodges, and campgrounds worldwide. Among various software capabilities, ResNexus focuses on powerful websites, guest management, online bookings, automated marketing, OTA partnerships, revenue management, credit card processing, and more.
Since joining ResNexus, Mr. Mayfield has championed the philosophy and company culture of Learn, Serve, Grow. This means all employees of ResNexus learn about the individual needs of the client, see how they can serve the property owner without expecting anything in return, and help their business grow first. That means its primary focus is the client's business growth in revenue and time savings. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Nathan was responsible for implementing marketing voucher e-mails for all ResNexus clients, which prevented hundreds of hospitality businesses from going out of business due to government-mandated lockdowns.
Nathan's passion is exceptional storytelling and brand-building through impeccable design and copywriting. Over his career, Nathan has launched products, produced training systems, removed dysfunctional culture among teams, led support teams to the highest customer service standard in the hotel software industry, art directed large-scale model and product photoshoots, presented at national trade shows, and much more.
As a dedicated civil advocate, Mr. Mayfield has given back to several nonprofit organizations including Operation Underground Railroad and served as both a local county and state delegate. He also served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Puerto Rico from 1998 to 2000.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Mayfield earned an associate's degree from Utah Valley University in 2002. He also garnered a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Brigham Young University in 2004.
As a leading business professional, Mr. Mayfield became an official member of the Forbes Business Council in 2020 and uses that platform to write news articles on topics that impact the hospitality industry.
