Importing beans directly from his family's multi-generational coffee farm, just outside of the country's capital of Sana'a, he believes that his coffee is the best in the world.
DEARBORN, MI, May 31, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ibrahim M. Alhasbani has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Alhasbani established Qahwah House, a family-owned Yemeni coffee shop in Dearborn, Michigan, in 2017. A unique establishment, he sells specialty coffee imported directly from his family farm in Yemen. In addition to offering patrons premium, organic Yemenite coffee, which is known for its rich flavor and fruity and chocolatey tones, Mr. Alhasbani sells coffee in various flavors by the pound, both in-store and online.
Deciding to open Qahwah House, Mr. Alhasbani noted, was a way for him to introduce his delicious Yemeni coffee to the U.S.; Qahwah House was the first Yemeni coffee shop of its kind. Importing beans directly from his family's multi-generational coffee farm, just outside of the country's capital of Sana'a, he believes that his coffee is the best in the world since it was in Yemen where coffee plants were first cultivated.
Grateful to receive such a warm welcome from his community, Mr. Alhasbani mentioned that Qahwah House became highly successful within less than three months of the coffee house opening. He has also opened four additional locations across New York, New Jersey, and Illinois. Looking toward the future, Mr. Alhasbani aims to continue growing his business and brand, expanding his footprint with up to 100 locations internationally, starting with Canada. He also looks forward to generating employment opportunities in the U.S. and abroad for the many coffee farmers back home in Yemen.
Mr. Alhasbani supports several local organizations and initiatives. He also gives back to the Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services.
Highlighting his achievements in the hospitality sector, Mr. Alhasbani was recognized by the Governor of Michigan for his contributions and has received Letters of Appreciation for creating employment opportunities in the U.S. and Yemen. He has been featured in the media in a 2018 edition of NPR, in Barista Magazine, and in Arab American. Moreover, Mr. Alhasbani has been interviewed by various media outlets such as Vice News.
