With Hazen & Sawyer, Dr. Andary also serves as Southeast Region Lead of Construction Management Services. Through the University, he teaches project planning for civil engineers, which delves into introduction techniques for planning activities, operations, finance, quality, and management. Over the years, Dr. Andary has worked as an associate, senior principal engineer, and principal engineer for Hazen & Sawyer.
During the early stages of his career, Dr. Andary gained valuable expertise in the field as a research assistant with the University of Florida and as a geotechnical engineer intern for Dar Al-Handasah. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, he aligns himself with the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Water Works Association, and the Construction Management Association of America. An expert in his field, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering in civil engineering from the Lebanese American University and a Master of Science in construction management from the University of Florida. Subsequently, Dr. Andary expanded upon his professional knowledge, earning a Masters and a PhD in civil engineering from the Florida International University and became a licensed professional engineer through the Florida Board of Professional Engineers and the Order of Engineers and Architects (OEA) in Lebanon.
Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, Dr. Andary authored a dissertation titled, "Project Performance Rating Model and IPD Implementation Guideline Metric for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Projects." Dr. Andary also published several peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. His research focuses on project delivery methods, project performance evaluation techniques, performance rating models, and nondestructive testing methods in concrete. In recognition of his professional achievements, he won a Certificate of Appreciation through The School District of Palm Beach County, a Certificate of Achievement from the University of Florida, a High Honor Award from Lebanese American University, and an Achievement Scholarship Award from The Arthur A.
