Mrs. Carpenter, co-founder of KelliGregg Travel, is distinguished for two decades of dedication to the travel industry. Founded in 2003 as R Family Vacations, she originally launched the travel company for LGBTQ families; over the years, Mrs. Carpenter watched the business blossom into a community as guests vacationed together and created long-term relationships. In 2022, R Family Vacations rebranded as KelliGregg Travel to serve the luxury travel needs of empty nesters with adults-only river cruise charters and tours. In addition, the company continues to offer a large annual trip for families.
Before co-founding her travel company, Mrs. Carpenter served as director of marketing for Nickelodeon for six years and held marketing positions with Kellogg's, Pepsi and Coca-Cola. Prior to embarking on her professional journey, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in advertising from Southern Methodist University in 1989.
Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Mrs. Carpenter has enjoyed volunteering with City Harvest, a food rescue organization that collects food waste from restaurants, bakeries and cafes. She has also been active with the Family Equity Council, an LGBTQ organization that fights for individuals' rights in all 50 states.
Among her career accomplishments, Mrs. Carpenter is particularly proud of starting R Family Vacations and growing it into such a positive force in families' lives. On a personal note, she considers raising her four children to be among the greatest experiences of her life. She looks forward to spending more time with her children and three grandchildren while continuing to create the best products and travel the world.
