With more than four decades of excellence in business management and leadership, Mr. Leibowitz has earned distinction as the founder and president of Williamsbridge Consulting, LLC. Prior to founding his company, Mr. Leibowitz served honorably as an infantry platoon leader with the United States Army for three years, during which he served in Vietnam for a year. In recognition of his dedicated service, he was honored with a Bronze Star Medal.
Following his military service, Mr. Leibowitz began his career as a production supervisor and became a clerk with the New York Stock Exchange in 1972, working his way up to a managing director and head of insider trading by 1995. Following this time, he served as the vice president of Credit Suisse in 1995 and served in a similar capacity with Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette in 1997. He continued his career as the senior vice president and district director for the National Association of Securities Dealers in 1999, where he handled 2000 firms as well as the examination and enforcement programs for 200,000 representatives. Afterward, he became the chief compliance officer for Nomura Holdings America in 2001.
Following this period, Mr. Leibowitz served as the first global chief compliance officer for Standard and Poor's in 2008, overseeing 50 employees in the division until he retired from the position. He subsequently functioned as a board member for Nomura Global Financial Products Inc. and Nomura Securities International, Inc. from 2013 until 2021. During this time, he also lent his expertise to Nomura Holdings America as a board member and audit committee chairman from 2015 until 2021. He also was a board member and global audit committee chair for Instinet Holdings Incorporated from 2018 until 2022. Mr. Leibowitz also provided consulting services for a variety of corporate clients.
Outside of his primary career efforts, Mr. Leibowitz serves as a mentor with American Corporate Partners, providing free consulting services to people leaving military service, helping them write resumes, navigate job interviews and negotiate employment contracts. He also utilizes his strong network of colleagues to assist these individuals with gaining access to resources and employment opportunities. Looking to the future, Mr. Leibowitz intends to continue engaging in consulting work.
