Mr. Gregory initially began his career in 1991, serving at the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Office of Law Enforcement (NOAA-OLE), where he excelled in a variety of roles until his retirement in 2023. During his tenure, Mr. Gregory served in many roles of increasing responsibility and authority including: Enforcement Officer, Special Agent, Assistant Special Agent-in-Charge, Deputy Special Agent-in-Charge, Special Agent-in-Charge, and Deputy Director.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Gregory pursued an education at St. Petersburg Junior College, where he obtained an Associate of Arts in 1990. He continued his academic efforts at the University of South Florida, earning a Bachelor of Arts in criminology in 1992. As a commitment to his pursuit of knowledge, he has received an executive certificate in Public Leadership from the Harvard-Kennedy School Executive Education, which included completion of Persuasive Communication, Strategic Management of Regulatory and Law Enforcement Agencies, and Driving Government Performance. Mr. Gregory also completed a certificate of mastery in Leadership for a Democratic Society from the Federal Executive Institute. Additionally, Mr. Gregory has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the Federal Executive Institute Alumni Association and the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Gregory received multiple awards, including a Gold Medal for demonstrating a high degree of personal and professional excellence in marine resource enforcement and international investigative collaboration from the United States Department of Commerce in 2005. Additionally, he was recognized as an Officer of the Year by the Northeast Conservation Law Enforcement Chiefs Association in 2001. Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Gregory is most proud to have served as an expert in formulation, implementation, and execution of policies, processes and procedures for federal law enforcement programs and operations on a national and international scope, and in leading several software development and integration projects including developing integrated case management and business process workflow software solutions with private industry contractors.
