Murray Forth Honored for Excellence in His Business Endeavors

    EAST GREENBUSH, NY, June 13, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Murray Forth has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, to Eva and Irvine Forth, Mr. Forth was only 20 years old when he immigrated to the United States in 1972. Soon thereafter, he pursued a formal education at Siena College in Loudonville, New York, from which he graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1977. Standing at 6'9, Mr. Forth played basketball at Siena College during this time, though he had only found limited success in the game at this time despite remaining a fan of the sport.

Two years later, Mr. Forth decided to start a family of his own, marrying his now-wife of nearly 45 years, Margaret. He subsequently raised four wonderful sons, including Jason, Craig, Brian and Jeremy, who were all born between 1981 and 1992. Mr. Forth is also proud to have welcomed four grandsons and three granddaughters into his loving and growing family.

Since 1995, Mr. Forth has excelled as both the president and owner of Forth Sport Floors Inc. in Rensselaer, New York, which was formerly known as the Forth Floor Company. In this position, he installs and repairs gymnasium floors, with hundreds of basketball court floors to his credit throughout the years. In 2009, he supervised the installation of two basketball courts at the Carmelo K. Anthony Basketball Center at Syracuse University. Notably, Mr. Forth's son, Craig, was a nationally-ranked basketball player who competed alongside Carmelo Anthony during his time with the Syracuse University Orange between 2001 and 2005, and had an integral part on the college's 2003 NCAA Championship-winning team.

Mr. Forth's connection to Syracuse University extends to his son, Jason, as well. In addition to studying at Syracuse, Jason also played in the band during the school's athletic competitions. After serving in the U.S. Marines for four years. Jason Forth later accepted a position with Lockheed Martin as an aeronautical engineer.

Proud to have survived in his field with a well-respected business for all of these years, Mr. Forth attributes his success to his dependability. He currently works alongside Craig, who is the project manager with Forth Sport Floors and has been important in networking and connecting with various athletic facilities in Syracuse. In light of his stellar professional endeavors, Mr. Forth has been affiliated with the Maple Flooring Manufacturers Association.

As a testament to his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Forth has been honored among Marquis Who's Who Top Business Owners. In 2009, he was interviewed on Syracuse University. To the next generation of professionals in his industry, he advises that building relationships with people should be a priority in their approach to business. Looking toward the future, Mr. Forth hopes to eventually advance to a well-deserved retirement.

Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Forth has been additionally associated with a number of organizations outside of his immediate areas of expertise. He is currently active as a trader with his local chapter of Rotary International, through which he has also been recruited to participate in charity work. Furthermore, he is a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Mr. Forth likewise donates to the Watertown Family YMCA, his local chapter of the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA).
