In 1982, Westbrook opened his law in Century City, CA, under the mentorship of William T. King and Alexander Ginsburg gaining valuable experience in civil litigation. In 1995, Westbrook took a position with Jackson & Wallace practicing insurance defense in complex asbestos cases and continued to work in the field later working for Hazzard & Bonington and Dehay & Ellison in Los Angeles and the Bay Area.
In 2014, Westbrook returned to private practice opening an office in Ventura, CA, specializing in real estate disputes representing homeowners and insurance companies defending habitability claims related to mold claims as well as seller's breach of California Real Estate disclosure requirements. Additionally, Westbrook represented contractors and their insurance company defending claims related to construction defect cases.
In conjunction with his work Mr. Westbrook contributes to his community by supporting Alabama Children's Hospital and donating to an orphanage in Kenya. As expert in his field, he holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, earned in 1974, and received his JD from the California Western School of Law. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field of law, he maintains his California State Bar license.
While, Mr. Westbrook's career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in being married to his wife and raising an intelligent, kind, compassionate and
knowledgeable daughter now employed by a university in Alabama as athletic trainer.
