Mrs. Dando is the principal of Kelly Dando Consulting, an independent firm specializing in association management and consulting. The company offers a full suite of services including events management, email marketing, strategic planning, and association structure consulting, among others, and employs a staff of ten. Mrs. Dando holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in English from the University of Alabama and began her career in 2002 as a branch manager for Enterprise Rent-A-Car Atlanta.
For the first four years of her career, Mrs. Dando worked for Enterprise as a Branch Manager and in Corporate Accounts. She excelled at turning around failing branches. She left the company in 2006 to become director of business development for Goel Services, a commercial construction company. Mrs. Dando was named executive director of the Associated General Contractors of Tennessee, Middle Tennessee Branch in 2007 and remained with the group until 2013 serving as a catalyst for reviving membership, financial operations, and organizational reputation. After her departure, Mrs. Dando was in-demand as a specialist for association management, and she accepted consulting positions with the Construction Financial Management Association and the American Subcontractors Association of North Texas, in addition to launching Kelly Dando Consulting.
In recognition of her work with CFMA, Mrs. Dando was presented with a 2021 Excellence Award from the DFW Chapter and a 2019 CFMA Chairman's Coin. She is a member of the Center for Nonprofit Management and is a sustainer in the Junior League of Dallas. In the coming years, Mrs. Dando hopes to keep working with nonprofits to increase their reach, capabilities, and programming. In her personal time, Mrs. Dando enjoys gardening and reading and is passionate about fundraising for and raising awareness of Eosinophilic Diseases.
