KATONAH, NY, June 16, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joseph DiScala has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
As the president of Peppino's Ristorante, Mr. DiScala has been overseeing all operations of his established business since 1991. A staple in the historic community of Katonah, New York, his eatery combines old-style Italian cooking with an inviting atmosphere and excellent service. Striving to maintain the positive reputation that Peppino's is so well known for, Mr. DiScala and his team are available seven days a week for lunch and dinner. The restaurant also features a full catering menu for private parties and party trays for off-site gatherings.
Involved in every aspect of the restaurant's success, Mr. DiScala attributes his good fortune to his hard work and dedication. Although he was never trained professionally in the industry, his perseverance made all the difference. Having notably become involved in the industry while coming of age, Mr. DiScala's parents, Giuseppe and Sylvia, started and managed Peppino's Ristorante until retirement in 2000. Before settling in Katonah, they also owned a second restaurant in the Bronx, New York. Mr. DiScala began working for his parents while in college and ultimately chose to pursue the industry upon graduation after realizing he did not want to pursue a corporate career.
Looking toward the future, Mr. DiScala aims to establish a second business. He also envisions becoming involved in consulting or freelance work. Mr. DiScala has also been a standardbred owner and breeder in New York since 2003, purchasing and selling horses for profit via public auction and private sale.
Through his community, Mr. DiScala is a member of the Katonah Chamber of Commerce. He also donates to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital and has been serving as the chair and board of directors of the Children's Rescue Fund since 2014.
Mr. DiScala is a graduate of Pace University, having earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Lubin School of Business in 1991. To remain aware of developments in the field, Peppino's Ristorante is notably Enviro-Master Services DFW Registered to eradicate coronavirus, flu, MRSA, and over 50 other viruses and bacteria. The restaurant is also a member of the New York State Restaurant Association.
Due to his extensive background in horses, Mr. DiScala has been a member of the United States Trotting Association, the New York State Horse Breeders Association, the New Jersey State Horse Breeders Association, the Ohio State Breeders Association, and the Kentucky Breeders Association. Recognizing his accomplishments, he won the Multiple Stake Championship Races and the Little Brown Jug Race and was a Dexter Cup Stake Winner.
