He also served with Schlumberger Limited (now slb) for over 33 years, where he held numerous management positions in operations and R&D. His past positions included serving as director of technology for Mexico and Central America, director of a regional technology center, university relations manager, perforating product development manager and domain adviser, heavy oil theme director, sand management solutions manager, and international business development manager.
Throughout his notable career, Mr. Lopez-de-Cardenas has coached and trained numerous professionals in the energy industry and taught physics and thermodynamics at Universidad Iberoamericana. As an expert in his field, he has obtained more than 20 patents on technologies for the oil and gas industry and has authored and co-authored a number of technical papers. He holds a Bachelor of Science in mechanical and electrical engineering from Universidad Iberoamericana and a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Houston.
While his career has been filled with highlights, Mr. Lopez-de-Cardenas is most proud of raising two bright and honorable sons and of witnessing his ideas and designs being used to advance energy solutions.
