MINERAL, VA, June 22, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William G. Scheible has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Leveraging more than four decades of excellence in communications and information technology, Mr. Scheible has earned distinction as a consultant and advisor on developing, implementing and successfully operating IT technologies across a broad range of commercial and government organizations. Mr. Scheible is also an expert systems engineer and accepted a position as an adjunct lecturer on that topic for the University of Maryland Global Campus. Since 2002, he has been a principal network systems engineer, project leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the MITRE Corporation. Also dedicated to volunteering, Mr. Scheible has served as the chair of the NoVA Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and currently is an assistant director for the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) while continuing to serve on the board of the local Washington DC INCOSE chapter. He was also a youth sports coach, sports official and Boy Scout leader.
Mr. Scheible began his career in 1973 as a programmer, manager and Director of Training in Cupertino, California for Tymshare/Tymnet Inc. There he supported the developing of industry leading Timesharing and Packet Switching technologies. Leaving the Tymnet subsidiary for several years with Bank of America, he returned to Tymshare as Manager of Communication and Online Services for Tymshare Transaction Services, and in 1985 relocated to Northern Virginia as a Senior Federal Sales Representative for Tymnet/McDonnell Douglas. In 1990 he became Director of Training for Sprint International until becoming the Director of Information Technology with the Alcatel Data Networks spinoff. In 1995 Mr. Scheible established the Scheible Group, and in 1999 joined Reston, VA based Transaction Network Services (TNSI) as Senior Vice President of MIS until its sale in 2001. In 2002 he joined the MITRE Corporation (McLean, VA) where he has supported the major US Government civilian agencies, the Department of Defense components, and the Intelligence Community in a variety of technical support and project management roles.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Scheible earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance and data processing from Eastern New Mexico University in 1973. He then attained a Master of Science in Management from National Louis University in 2003. He holds multiple technical certifications (CISSP, ESEP. SEQM) and is a Senior Life Member of IEEE.
Accounting for his success, Mr. Scheible credits the support he received along the way from his wife Jill, their children (Carey, Clark, & Collin), his parents, and lots of good advice from many mentors and friends: in particular his first boss at Tymshare. He also remembers his Sigma Chi fraternity brother who coerced him into taking an introduction data processing course where he discovered a passion for the logical requirements of dealing with computers and set him on a very successful career path.
