Of their most notable projects, Mr. Nuñez and his team at Baby Lion Media designed one of the most effective Hispanic and multi-cultural reach campaigns in the history of Google, where they visited eight communities in the U.S. to document small Hispanic businesses and tell their stories to promote their business resilience. The Baby Lion team also assisted United Way to educate people about poverty in America and raise funds throughout the COVID-19 pandemic by producing "A Closer Look," a data visualization project that utilized 3D virtual reality technology to get people to donate.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Nuñez began his career as a Production Assistant Intern with 3M in 2000 and then later became an Assistant Producer with Fallon Worldwide in 2002 where he worked on the BMW film series. Following this time, he served as a Producer and Director of Production with Colle McVoy in 2005 and was a Senior Integrated Producer for FCB Chicago in 2009-2010. He continued his career as the Vice President and Executive Integrated Producer for Crispin Porter + Bogusky in 2010 until becoming the Director of Production and Executive Producer for The Community Agency in 2018-2020.
Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Nuñez led the production of revolutionary advertising projects for Microsoft, Best Buy, BMW, Verizon, Domino's, Infinity, and many other prominent brands. He lead production on the award-winning Yearbook Yourself campaign for Taubman Malls in 2008, designing a back-to-school campaign module that allowed users to upload their photographs and see what they would look like in yearbook photos from the 1950s through the 1990s. This project was the first time people changed their social media profiles in accordance with the marketing effort, demonstrating how people can interact with brands in this way. In recognition of his stellar work on this project, he and his team were honored with a Webby Award in 2008.
For his work with Domino's, Mr. Nuñez worked on a campaign that resulted in the development of their Pizza Delivery (DXP) cars, the world's first pizza delivery cars with a warming oven. This campaign was a key element to helping the company's business take a positive turn and these vehicles continue to operate in 30 states. The Domino's DXP Car campaign generated over one billion impressions for the brand worldwide.
This project earned his team a Cannes Lions Award, another of which his team received at Fallon for their advertising campaign for the BMW film series. Additionally, Mr. Nuñez has received multiple One Show, AICP, Effie Awards, and Clio Advertising Awards, including one for a Baby Lion production regarding a recent Netflix project which launched the "Resident Evil" series. This production generated 37 million views and 300 million impressions worldwide.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Nuñez earned a Bachelor of Science in mass communications and film studies with minors in Spanish and small business from St. Cloud State University in 2000. Within the coming years, Mr. Nuñez intends to continue growing Baby Lion Media, making it one of the most respected diverse powerhouses of creative multi-platform production in brand advertising and entertainment.
