Through Thomsen's, he helps to address global public health issues in high-traffic public spaces. Prior to obtaining his current position, he held a number of board positions for The Neurofeedback Advocacy Project, Thomsen's Inc., Community Vocational Enterprises, and more. During the early stages of his career, Mr. Kaiser gained valuable expertise in executive, consulting, and advisory positions with Jalin Medika, Milagroai, the Oregon Bioscience Association, Rubicon Programs, Ramsell Holding Company, Haight Ashbury Free Clinics, Kaiser Foundation Hospitals & Health Plans, and as a Trustee of the Kaiser Family Foundation.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kaiser has achieved much, writing the business plan and raising capital for a leveraged buyout of a division of Hercules, Inc. Similarly, he led a team of Kaiser Engineers during reconstruction efforts in Nicaragua following an earthquake in 1972 and formed the initial board of directors for Thomsen's Inc. In conjunction with his work, Mr. Kaiser has contributed to his community as a performer for the Celebration Tabernacle, a member of the Vanport Mosaic Festival's steering committee, and as an advocate for the Portland Waterfront Alliance.
An expert in his field, Mr. Kaiser holds an MBA in marketing from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and a PsyD in clinical psychology from Meridian University. Subsequently, he expanded upon his professional knowledge, becoming a certified alcohol and drug counselor. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Kaiser aligns himself with the Family Firm Institute, the Venture Capital Association, and the National Association of Directors. Due to his outstanding breadth of knowledge, he was featured in "The Quest for Legitimacy." Dr. Kaiser entered the venture capital field by serving as Director of West Coast Operations for Research & Science Investors, and after a transition period represented Harvest Ventures. At the request of the Government of Taiwan, Dr. Kaiser became involved in technology transfer activities between US companies and high technology companies in Taiwan and China. This work culminated in service as Vice Chairman of the W.I. Harper Venture Capital group. Subsequently Dr. Kaiser pursued is career in the venture capital field independently.
