OCALA, FL, June 28, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Frank Sablan has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Sablan is an engineer and quality assurance expert who has enjoyed more than four decades of success in his field. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1974. He continued to serve as an infantry officer until 1979, and continued his education at De Anza College after returning to civilian life. He completed an Associate of Arts in quality assurance in 1983, and enrolled at San Jose State University, in their quality assurance graduate studies program in 1989.
Early in his career, Mr. Sablan held engineering and executive management positions with numerous industry-leading technology and electronics companies including Siltec Silicon, Pacific Monolith, Raynet, Sytec, and Texas Instruments. In 1994, he brought his diverse expertise to UniSil, where he served as director of quality for one year before accepting a position as director of quality for LG Epitaxy. Between 1996 and 1998, Mr. Sablan was director of quality at SUMCO, then operating as SITJX, followed by two years as director of quality for Silicon Genesis. ln 2000, he joined netMercury as director of quality and later as Director of Operations, departing in 2009 when he was named executive vice president of technology at VAe LLC. From 2011 until 2013, he worked concurrently as director of quality for Datest and a master lPC instructor for the Blackfox Training Institute. From 2013 to 2016 he was program manager at VAe LLC on a federal defense contract to modernize legacy systems.
Since 2016, Mr. Sablan has been an instructor for STRAC Institute, a school dedicated to helping prepare students to enter the electronics manufacturing industry with an emphasis on federal defense and aerospace work. Building on early career experiences as an electronics manufacturing and statistical quality control instructor for De Anza College, he is committed to providing his students with the skills they will need to succeed. Throughout his career, Mr. Sablan has been recognized for excellence and high performance, and he is decorated with an Army Commendation Medal among other awards. In order to remain at the leading edge of his field, Mr. Sablan was a member of the American Society for Quality and the Electronic Technicians Association International.
