A Senior Civil and Structural Principal Engineer at Enercon Service Inc., Ms. Eiranova is supported by more than 40 years of industry experience. Acquired by the organization in 2019, she works on the west coast of Florida in the Tampa area specializing in power generation, nuclear plants, waste-to-energy generation, and solar farms. Recognized as a multi-discipline engineering and environmental services firm based in Georgia, Enercon serves many markets, including industrial, commercial, manufacturing, government, and oil and gas.
Having begun her career as an Associate Professor at her alma mater, The University of Oriente, in CUBA from 1981 to 1994, in parallel worked as an Associate Structural Engineer with the Construction Ministry Office and as an Associate Researcher with the Office of Restoration of the Colonial Architecture in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba; Ms. Eiranova climbed through the ranks, working with various other organizations such as CMA Architects and Engineers as a Structural Design Engineer, Washington Group International as a Civil and Structural Department Manager, Fluor Corporation as a Senior Structural Engineer, Project Engineer, and Project Manager designing industrial and infrastructure, pharmaceutical, waste water, environmental and food manufacturing and later leading oil and gas, energy and chemicals and mining projects.
Ms. Eiranova was fortunate to have earned domestic and international experience throughout the U.S., Chile, Peru, and Puerto Rico, designing, planning and managing projects. She also gained extensive management, construction, and design experience, having worked with some Fortune 500 companies and other organizations such as Exxon Mobile, Procter & Gamble, Merck, Sharp and Dohme, Dow Chemicals, Newmont, and Covanta, among others.
Ms. Eiranova has received several awards as a team member on projects honored by the Engineering News Record and by the College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Eiranova envisions becoming involved in consulting work. She also aims to mentor young engineers. Grateful for her success, Ms. Eiranova notes that being a woman in engineering can be a challenging yet gratifying career choice.
Active with local initiatives supporting her community, Ms. Eiranova has volunteered with Stop Hunger Now with Fluor Corporation since 2012. She also donates her time and money to Saint Joseph's Children's Cancer Hospital.
Ms. Eiranova graduated from the University of Oriente, Cuba in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with concentration in Structural Engineering. She subsequently studied at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, earning a Master of Science in Engineering Management in 2002. Ms. Eiranova is a Multi-Board Registered Professional Engineer in Puerto Rico, Florida, New York, Indiana, Iowa, Tennessee, and Maryland. She also has earned credentials as a Certified Project Manager through the University of South Florida and as a Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute in 2014. She also speaks fluent English and Spanish. Apart from her education, Ms. Eiranova's career has been supported through membership with the PMI, AISC and the Construction Industry Institute.
