SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA, June 29, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to honor Singchou Wu, PhD, with inclusion in Who's Who in the World. An accomplished listee, Dr. Singchou Wu celebrates many years' experience in his professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes he has accrued in his field. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Following years of professional experience, Dr. Wu earned the distinguished title of professor emeritus at California Polytechnic State University in 1999, having become a statistics educator in 1969. Throughout the course of his career, he also served as a partner with S.J. Maintenance & Construction. In more recent years, he has become involved in the field of real estate management. A first-generation immigrant, economist, and statistician, he is self-taught in the area of construction and made his way into the industry before the increase in housing prices in California.
Adjacent to his primary endeavors, Dr. Wu donates annually to Utah State University. Driven to remain abreast of ongoing industry changes, he aligns himself with the American Statistical Association, as well as Colorado State University, through which he is a member of the President's Council of the Alumni Association of CSU. An expert in his field, Dr. Wu holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from National Taiwan University, a Master of Science in Applied Statistics from Utah State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Statistics from Colorado State University.
Drawing from his vast breadth of knowledge, Dr. Wu authored "The Housing Crisis in California and Beyond: An Insider's Expose" in 2020. His book explains that the sky-rocking housing prices in many states of the nation have destroyed the upward mobility of many struggling American workers and turned America, the Land of Opportunity, for all hard workers into the land of desperation for many. His book also explains why there are so many homeless people in the U.S., who is responsible for the high housing cost in those places, and the consequences of high housing costs in the country. His book provides answers to all these questions. While his career has been filled with standout moments, he takes the most pride in leading S.J. Maintenance & Construction, as well as in his considerable academic background and teaching career.
Dr. Wu credits his lifelong commitment to hard work in accounting for his success. Looking toward the future, he intends to remain healthy and prolific in his chosen field by publishing several more books.
