Ms. Simpson-Watt won the 2023 Connecticut Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year Award from the Small Business Administration (SBA).
MIDDLETOWN, CT, July 03, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alisha Simpson-Watt LCSW, BCBA, LBA has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Ms. Simpson-Watt is a specialist in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Autism in the Mental Health Specialty, having accumulated more than a decade of experience. As Executive Clinical Director/Founder of Collaborative ABA Services, LLC, a behavioral health practice that she founded in 2019, she oversees operations for clinic, community, and in-home patient care. Highly skilled in her area of expertise, Ms. Simpson-Watt holds Connecticut licensures and certifications as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), School Social Worker (071 certification), and School Intermediate Administrator (092 certification).
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Simpson-Watt earned a Family Development Credential and Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Connecticut. Ms. Simpson-Watt also received her Master's in Social Work with a specialization in Casework and Social Work with Women and Children and Families from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work. Early in her career, she began working with at-risk youth including inner-city families, and became increasingly interested in helping others. In 2012, she began working as a School Social Worker in an inner-city school district and decided to pursue a graduate certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA); today, she continues working with the school district part-time.
In the past four years, Ms. Simpson-Watt has expanded Collaborative ABA Services, LLC, from two employees to 29, and she continues to hire. In 2022, she oversaw the opening of a new clinic to meet the needs of their service population and added additional services including but not limited to a Preschool-age Clinic-based ABA Program, Case Management, Social Skills Groups, and Occupational Therapy. Looking toward the future, Ms. Simpson-Watt is excited to continue to expand her practice to include Speech and Language Therapy and perhaps to open additional locations.
In commemoration of her accomplishments, Ms. Simpson-Watt won the 2023 Connecticut Woman-Owned Small Business of the Year Award from the Small Business Administration (SBA) and CBIA, and Collaborative ABA Services, LLC is a current recipient of the Outstanding New Business under 5 Years Award from the Middlesex Chamber of Commerce.
