Prior to obtaining her current position, she worked for the New York City Administration for Children's Services for 22 years in many capacities within Family Permanency and Policy, Planning and Measurement. In her last role at ACS, Monique served as the Director of Contract Governance for the agency, and has extensive experience in supporting executive leadership in managing special projects and initiatives, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis; program evaluation and resolving operational and systemic issues adversely affecting program outcomes.
Over the years, Ms. Cumberbatch has expanded upon her professional knowledge in data analysis, contract management and negotiation, government procurement, and strategic planning. Additionally, she has provided support for intra-agency cross collaboration, assessed plans for youth in the foster care system, and conducted training and collaborative improvement efforts with contracted providers. Outside of her work, Ms. Cumberbatch has contributed to her community; serving as a board member on Brooklyn Community Board 2, Kingsview Homes Inc. Cooperative., The Church of the Open Door- Board of Christian Education and the Democratic County Committee.
An expert in her field, Ms. Cumberbatch earned an undergraduate degree before completing a Master of Science in counseling from Plattsburgh State University of New York.
