Mrs. Kazia's journey into financial planning began with the foundation of a strong education. She completed her undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting and business management from Bombay University in 1989. In 1992, she joined Diamond Trust Bank Kenya Ltd as an executive assistant to the chief executive officer for nearly two years, using that position as an opportunity to build her professional skill set. She would use those skills years later, when she joined Freedom 55 Financial as a financial planner and investment representative in 2004. After two years, she rose to the position of director of business development. In January of 2023, Mrs. Kazia became the president of Insurance Globe Inc., her current position, as a continuation of her prior work with Freedom 55.
The values of community service and volunteering have been instilled in Mrs. Kazia from childhood. Over a period of 45 years, she has volunteered with Aga Khan institutions, in various capacities. Aga Khan is a title held by Islamic Imams who claim direct descent from the prophet Muhammad. In 1994, she held the position of general manager for the Aga Khan Jubilee Fund in Nairobi, Kenya, for a period of eight years, and she became a founding member of the Aga Khan Museum in 2014. As a result of her continuous service to her community, Mrs. Kazia received a 25-year Ontario Service Award in 2022.
Apart from her considerable talents in the area of finance management, Mrs. Kazia is committed to providing each client with the best possible experience. In her words, "Through my conversational approach of knowing my clients and their financial needs, I help my clients work toward achieving their personal financial success by making the right choice at the right time." Her international work experience provides her with a worldly perspective that gives her unique insight into a number of different cultures. Additionally, as a result of her diverse global experience, she speaks a number of languages fluently, including English, Gujarati, Kutchi and Hindi. Through no small amount of hard work and determination, Mrs. Kazia became a certified health specialist, CHS in 2008, and she has also achieved certified financial planner, CFP accreditation in 2021.
Now that she has established herself in the financial service industry, Mrs. Kazia considers herself privileged to be able to spend time with her family, while serving her community, and she considers both of these goals to be her top priority.
