Drawing on over two decades of diverse expertise, Ms. Valdez specializes in budget and analysis, as well as vendor and supply management. Since 2021, she has found great success as an Assistant Vice President of Business Analysis and Metrics at the Lincoln Financial Group, where she previously served as a Manager of Underwriting and New Business, a Director of Vendor Management, and an Assistant Vice President of Budget Analysis and Digital Technology Adoption from 2006 until 2021. In her current capacity, Ms. Valdez is responsible for the development and governance of new and improved predictive models for staffing needs based on business volumes and forecasts, reviewing internal processes for efficiencies, implementing new strategies, and researching, monitoring, and reporting budget expenses for multiple teams and organizations.
Ms. Valdez initially began her career working as a lifeguard, and a swim and diving coach at the Gibsonville Swim & Racquet Club from 1999 to 2003, while concurrently serving as a gymnastics coach and an event coordinator at Kidsport Gymnastic Academy from 2002 until 2007. Between 2004 and 2006, she also gained expertise as a quality assurance auditor for Jefferson-Pilot Financial, which has been acquired by the Lincoln Financial Group. Ms. Valdez was franchise co-owner for Liberty Tax Services from 2010 to 2013, during which time she also excelled as the co-owner of Gifts 2 Help Rescues, an organization dedicated to raising funds for rescue animals across the United States, from 2011 until 2016.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Valdez pursued an education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in business, with a minor in economics in 2004. As a commitment to her field, she has been certified as a customer services provider (CSP COPC) and Vendor Management Organizations (VMO COPC) in 2015. She completed the Lincoln Officer Readiness Program in 2018 and obtained her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Reflecting on her achievements, she attributes much of her success to her strong work ethic, compassion, dedication, and her family, especially her mom, who greatly influenced her to work hard. Looking toward the future, Ms. Valdez aspires to expand the scope of her expertise and hopes to write a book that reflects on the life of her daughter Hope who has a rare neurological disease called Rett Syndrome. She has dedicated a lot of time to advocacy, awareness and education through a movement called Hope4Hope on social media. She is looking to join board(s) that increases awareness of this disease and advocacy for other special needs individuals.
