An expert in her field, Ms. Newsome holds an Associate of Occupational Studies in massage therapy from the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences and studied communications at SUNY New Paltz. Subsequently, she expanded upon her professional knowledge, earning a Bachelor of Arts in communications from SUNY Empire State College and a master's degree in acupuncture from the Pacific College of Health and Science. In recognition of her professional excellence, Ms. Newsome won a Distinguished Award from New York University.
While her career has been filled with standout moments, Ms. Newsome takes the most pride in putting together an oncology massage training program. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she credits her overall success to people doubting her because it imbues in her a desire to make it happen. Similarly, she was inspired by her father, an entrepreneur, and her mother, who encouraged her to speak the truth. Within the next three to five years, Ms. Newsome aims to see her app become a masterclass for massage therapists and expand her reach to other countries.
