Ms. Renshaw is an experienced artist and retired high school art teacher who spent over three decades in the classroom. Today, she focuses entirely on her artwork, overseeing her custom website, participating in local events, and commissioning her oil, pastel, and watercolor artwork.
As a coastal resident of the San Diego community, Ms. Renshaw maintains an affinity for plein air painting. Spending much time outdoors to gain inspiration, she has built a substantial portfolio of works that span from beaches and palm trees to sunsets, boat docks, and more.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Renshaw plans to continue participating in art shows and creating more significant pieces. She attributes her success in the industry to her dedication and passion for the field. She also notes her willingness to take constructive criticism.
Additionally, Ms. Renshaw has been a founding artist of the San Diego Coastal Art Studios Tour since 2020. The third annual art tour is set to take place in September 2023, and she will be among the 32 artists to participate in the event, with plans to showcase some of her oil and pastel plein air work. The tour will notably support Promise2Kids, a nonprofit organization that creates brighter futures for foster children.
An alumnus of San Diego State University, Ms. Renshaw earned a bachelor's and master's degree in 1972 and 1982, respectively.
