VERONA, WI,July 17, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tony DelaRosa has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on expertise as a researcher, racial equity strategist, cross-racial coalition builder and poet, Mr. DelaRosa is recognized for his vision as chief executive officer and founder of Tony Rosa Speaks LLC. In this capacity, he serves as a public and motivational speaker, leadership coach and expert in diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. Among his strengths, he is particularly knowledgeable about Asian American education policy and practices and works with teachers, administrators and superintendents to recommend practices that combat anti-Asian hate. His book, "Teaching the Invisible Race: Embodying a Pro-Asian Americans Lens in Schools," will be published in October 2023 with Jossey-Bass Publishing, and he is featured in "Heritage Heroes," now streaming on Hulu.

Well regarded for his contributions to the field, Mr. DelaRosa was awarded the Asian American Foundation's 2023 Community Trailblazer Award and the National Association of Asian American Professionals' 2021 INSPIRE Award. Other honors have included an Eli Lilly Inc. Teacher Creativity Grant and a Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship Award.

Adjacent to his role with Tony Rosa Speaks LLC, Mr. DelaRosa is a co-founder of the NYC Men Teach Asian American initiative, a program created to inspire more men of color to become teachers in New York City. Previously, he served as a graduate teaching fellow at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and held various leadership roles with Teach for America. He has served as a consultant for the Smithsonian Institution and the Harvard Graduate School of Education, founded and led a youth spoken word organization called Boston Pulse Poetry, and served as a Senior Editor at the Harvard Asian American Policy Review.

Mr. DelaRosa's performance in the field was born from his academic journey. He commenced his educational career at the University of Cincinnati, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Asian studies and English in 2012. He went on to receive a Master of Arts in Teaching from Marian University in 2014 and a Master of Education from Harvard University in 2018. He is currently pursuing a PhD in education leadership and policy analysis at the University of WisconsinMadison, where he is an Education Graduate Research Scholar. He holds a certification in Business Level Japanese Language (N2) from the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT).

A highly respected leader and natural wordsmith, Mr. DelaRosa attributes his success to his passion for people and Asian American stories. Throughout the course of his career, storytelling has pushed him to connect with each community he has worked with; everywhere he went, he told his story, which resonated with others. His many achievements include organizing cross-racial solidarity initiatives, educational panels, and events following the death of George Floyd in 2020 and traveling to the Philippines to strengthen relations through the Filipino Young Leaders Program.

Mr. DelaRosa is married and has one son. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, teaching his son Spanish and Tagalog, cooking and playing video games.
