With more than a decade of excellence in mental healthcare, Dr. Warren has earned distinction as the clinical director of Diversus Health. Since 2021, she has focused her efforts on leading the therapeutic services provided at the clinic while ensuring the services are properly coordinated for the individuals referred to them. She guarantees that their daily practices are aligned with strategic initiative expectations and regulations for the field, collaborating with numerous community partners as well, including the Military Homefront Network, the Pikes Peak Suicide Prevention organization and others. She also leads the adult outpatient clinical team, supervising 40 people.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Warren began her career as a caseworker with the El Paso County Department of Human Services Chafee Foster Care Independence Program in 2004 and became a therapist for the Spanish Peaks Behavioral Health Center in 2011. During this time, she also served as an acute therapist with the Cedar Springs Psychiatric Hospital from 2000 until 2012, providing individual and family therapy and primarily working with veterans who have sustained a traumatic brain injury or close head injury.
Following this period, Dr. Warren lent her expertise as a helping women recovery therapist for the Eddie Warrior Correctional Center and was a mental health doctoral intern for the Mabel Basset Correctional Center in 2012, returning there as a psychologist in 2014. She joined the Joseph Harp Correctional Center as a psychologist in 2013, developing a program that would enable inmates to understand their diagnosis and medications, develop coping skills and conduct themselves better while incarcerated. She continued her career as a clinical director of iAspire Family Services in 2014 and served as a social worker for the Colorado Department of Corrections Centennial Correctional Facility in 2015. Later that year, she was promoted to the Centennial Correctional Facility's mental health supervisor until taking a role as a mental health trainer for the Colorado Department of Corrections Headquarters Administrative in 2017. In 2018, Dr. Warren served as a program services director for the Colorado Department of Human Services Pueblo Regional Center and became a clinical team lead for their Spring Creek Youth Service Center in 2019.
To prepare for her career as a psychologist, Dr. Warren earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology as well as a certification in forensic science specializing in abuse investigation from the University of Colorado in 2002. Following this achievement, she attained a master's degree in community counseling from Adams State University in 2009 and a Doctor of Psychology in counseling psychology with a focus on neuropsychology from the University of the Rockies in 2013. She subsequently completed a practicum at the University of the Rockies Counseling Center in 2011 as a student therapist, conducting psychological assessments and providing therapy for individuals in lower socioeconomic brackets. Looking to the future, Dr. Warren intends to connect Nexus Counseling to the community, growing a clinical counseling training program for young counselors.
