Brynn Dombroski, Ph.D., M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, Honored by Marquis Who's Who for Contributions to the Field of Neurodiversity

Brynn Dombroski is a neuroscientist, behavior analyst, and a John Maxwell Certified Speaker, Trainer, and Coach who combines her clinical and professional expertise to add value to others by helping them to reach their full potential.



    CHARLOTTE, NC, July 21, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brynn Dombroski, Ph.D., M.Ed., BCBA, LBA., has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Dr. Dombroski is a doctor of neuroscience and a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA). She originally founded her own company, Platinum Solutions in 2016, where she provided a skills evaluation and individualized treatment for her patients in Louisville, KY. She has recently launched her new business, Dynamic Empowerment Solutions, LLC in Charlotte, NC to utilize her skills to empower others to achieve dynamic success. Since 2023, she has also excelled as a speaker, trainer, and coach, as well as a certified DISC trainer and consultant with the John Maxwell Leadership Team. While still providing ABA services to families via telehealth in rural areas of Kentucky with CommonwealthABA, her past appointment as a BCBA and senior assessor was with Alternative Behavior Strategies, LLC, from 2021 to 2023, which was a promotion from the role of assessor, which she had accepted in 2021. Additionally, Dr. Dombroski capably served from 2018 to 2020 in the capacity of a BCBA and licensed behavior analyst with Hopebridge LLC, both in the Louisville South Clinic from 2018 to 2019 and in the Bowling Green Clinic from 2019 to 2020.

Dr. Dombroski's applied experience extends to additional key roles, including her role as a cognitive skills trainer with LearningRx between 2011 and 2013, after which she transitioned to the position of center director from 2013 to 2014. Dr. Dombroski also worked at the corporate office of Signature HealthCARE as a project coordinator from 2014 to 2016 before going back to graduate school for her second masters, this time in Special Education with a focus in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Behavior Analysis. Simultaneously, she served as a coach, trainer, and tutor with GradePower Learning Centers between 2017 and 2019.

Since high school, Dr. Dombroski has nurtured a fascination with protocols and practices surrounding mental, physical, and emotional well-being, and she considers her work to be a divine calling. After a unique internship opportunity as a behavioral therapist with Eden Autism Services of Florida and exposure to working with children, adolescents, and adults living with autism, she more intently pursued advocacy and treatment for those managing neurodiversity, in particular families with autistic children leading to her graduate fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine Dr. Dombroski proudly partnered with clinicians in other fields of study in the investigation of barriers preventing autistic individuals from realizing their full potential, including identifying medical conditions and exploring different learning and personality styles to achieve the best possible outcomes.

A firm believer in pursuing higher education to further advance her skills and abilities to help others, Dr. Dombroski completed multiple undergraduate degrees, including an Associate of Arts in Psychology and an Associate of Sciences in Criminal Justice, both from the College of Central Florida where she graduated with honors in 2003 and 2004, respectively. She subsequently, pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Marketing from Florida Gulf Coast University, finishing with honors in 2007, before starting graduate work at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where she completed both a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Anatomical Sciences and Neurobiology in 2011 and 2013, respectively. At the University of Louisville, she served in many student leadership roles and proudly accepted the honorable Student Spotlight Award from the School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Students in 2013.

Dr. Dombroski has made impressive commitments to civic service, including volunteering for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America in 2000, working as a summer youth camp counselor with Citrus County Parks and Recreation from 2001 to 2002, and then serving as an AmeriCorps Tutor from 2001 to 2003. She also served as President of the Kappa Nu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa from 2002-2003, and the President of the FGCU Jaycees and the Resident Housing Association at FGCU from 2005-2006. Between 2008 and 2009, she served as the project director for the Miracle II 21st CCLC Grant and the M2/SES Grant with the Southwest Florida Workforce Development Board. Other appointments include volunteering as the walk course coordinator for Down Syndrome of Louisville from 2010-2019, volunteering for Families for Effective Autism Treatment of Louisville since 2010, room captain volunteer with the Louisville Innovation Summit and registration volunteer for Norton Healthcare's 1-N-3 Gala in 2015. She currently serves as a volunteer with the Connections Team and the Disability and Inclusion Ministry of Forest Hill Church in Charlotte, NC.

Dr. Dombroski is humbled to have founded the Dual Ascent Buddy Program in 2016 where she provided a free monthly meet-up for children with autism and their neurotypical buddies teaching them arts and crafts and how to socially interact with others. She has also contributed meaningfully to the ongoing scholarly conversation through various channels, including as a presenter at the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence in 2015 and was an invited speaker for the Hydrocephalus Society of Kentuckiana (2014), Rotary Club of Jeffersontown (2014), Silver Creek High School (2012), Academy for Individual Excellence (2012), and the Kentuckiana Mensa Chapter (2012) to name a few. She provides continuing education presentations on various topics involving individuals with autism, and her research has been published in peer-reviewed trade periodicals and in monograph form, including titles such as "Cutting-edge Therapies for Autism" and "The Comprehensive Guide To Autism," published by Springer in 2014 and 2013, respectively.

Numerous affiliations enable Dr. Dombroski to sustain a viable professional network, including membership in the Society for Neuroscience, the Association of Psychological Sciences and the American Psychological Association. She also participates in the proceedings of the Kentucky Association for Behavior Analysis, the North Carolina Association for Behavior Analysis and the broader Association for Behavior Analysis International and the Association of Professional Behavior Analysts. In addition, Dr. Dombroski is a life member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, for which she served as an advisory board member and mentor from 2009 to 2011.

Dr. Dombroski attributes her success to family support and encouragement, as well as determination and hard work. She cites the completion of her doctoral degree as her most notable accomplishment thus far which provided her adequate training to in turn make a positive impact on families. Additionally, she is gratified when parents mention productive situations and positive insights about their children's progress. An expert in identifying medical conditions that other practitioners have overlooked, including visual, auditory, and sensory processing issues, Dr. Dombroski aims to evolve her platform for educating parents, teachers, and clinicians about identifying medical conditions and personality styles contributing to behavioral patterns that promote neurodiversity. Dr. Dombroski believes that we can use this knowledge to improve our communication and relationships with others to live happier, fuller, dynamically empowered lives.
