Mr. Bowker is a retired director of frequency management at Radio Corporation of America (RCA) Corporation, who worked for the organization for more than 30 years. Initially acquired in 1953, he and three dozen other employees worked at the company's research laboratories in Princeton, New Jersey. A prominent American electronics company, RCA was founded in 1919 and was later acquired by General Electric in 1986, the same year Mr. Bowker retired. Upon his retirement, he spent 10 years traveling the country with his wife, visiting all 48 states.
Mr. Bowker began his career in broadcasting. He was instrumental in building a radio station in Middlebury, Vermont, in 1949. Among other professional accomplishments, he created a video and a history book about the Sun City Center in Florida. He also edited the eNEWS Newsletter that became recognized internationally, gaining over 5,000 subscribers.
Mr. Bowker studied at Middlebury College. He remains aware of developments in his field as a chapter president of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
