As a commitment to his field, he attained a teaching certificate from California State University in East Bay in 1999. Additionally, Dr. Mossavar-Rahmani has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the Scottish Rite Valley of San Diego, the American Association of University Professors, the Iranian Scholar Association, the American Economic Association and more.
Well-regarded for his contributions to the field, Dr. Mossavar-Rahmani has received multiple awards from National University, including three President's Professional Awards, a President's Distinguished Teaching Award, an Outstanding Service Award and a Graduate Council Award. Among his vocational accomplishments, he is most proud of his accolades, books and scholarly articles. Additionally, he is gratified to be academically impacting his students, whose achievements serve as a benchmark for his success. Reflecting on a long career, he attributes much of his success to his resilience, tenacity and hard work, as well as his wife, who stood by him throughout his journey as they lost everything during the Iranian Revolution and relocated to Europe, Hong Kong and the United States to pursue his passion for his specialty.
