With more than two decades of excellence in medicine and organizational leadership, Dr. Tippit has earned distinction as the medical director for Baxter Healthcare. Since 2020, he has focused his efforts on managing a team of surgeons and nurses across North and South America while educating healthcare providers on the company's products and research. Additionally, he lends his expertise to the board of directors for the Coalition of Veterans Organizations and is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Association of the United States Army, the Society of US Army Flight Surgeons and the Association of Military Surgeons of the United States.
Prior to starting his civilian career, Dr. Tippit served honorably as a biomedical engineer for the Kansas Army National Guard and GE Healthcare from 2001 until 2007 and served as a medical officer for the United States Army from 2007 until 2021. While engaging in his military service, Dr. Tippit became a physician and director of military surgical training for Cooper University Health Care in 2013. He co-founded the Special Operations Trauma Training Center in Camden, New Jersey, where they train special-ops medics from across the military. From 2013 to 2019 he served as a Joint Task Force Commander for the United Nations General Assembly, leading a large team of military members from multiple units and branches. In recognition of his dedicated service, he was honored with numerous awards including an Army Commendation Medal in 2005, an Air Force Commendation Medal in 2013 and two Meritorious Service Medals in 2016 and 2020, to name a few.
To prepare for his medical career, Dr. Tippit earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Following these achievements, he attained a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Science, Arts and Technology. Well-qualified in his field, he graduated from Flight Surgeon School with the United States Army and from the United States military tropical medicine program of the Uniformed Services University in 2012. He is certified in international trauma life support and advanced trauma life support.
Within the coming years, Dr. Tippit intends to continue his veteran outreach activities. For his own professional development, he plans to keep expanding his knowledge and growing his skills, expanding his global footprint while caring for people worldwide.
