Dr. Jackson is an emergency first responder, paramedic, and organizational expert with more than 40 years of commitment to leadership and community service. Early in his career, he studied surgical technology at El Centro College, and he enlisted in the United States Navy, launching a ten year career. While in the Navy, Dr. Jackson completed leadership training that led him to pursue emergency responder training upon returning to civilian life. He went on to earn his EMT and paramedic license at Palomar College, where he also studied vocal performance, and completed firefighter certification and FEMA ambulance strike team leader education through the City of Del Mar, California. Dr. Jackson continued his education at Capella University, earning a bachelor of science degree in business administration and management and a Master of Business Administration in business and technology. In 2021, he earned his Doctor of Philosophy in business administration, summa cum laude, from Northcentral University.
Dr. Jackson's medical career began as a paramedic for Success Factors and American Medical Response based in San Diego, California. In 1990, he founded Safe Talk and Hollywood, an entertainment-industry medical education company providing CPR, AED, and first aid training services, and he remains active as EMT personnel with American Medical Response. Since 2022, Dr. Jackson has been the director and manager of the Regional Cooperative Care Program, a collaboration between the San Miguel Fire & Rescue Department, Heartland Fire & Rescue San Diego, and the National City Fire Department. In his role with the Regional Cooperative Care Program, Dr. Jackson is responsible for quality assurance, operations, and training for all partner organizations, as well as leading classes to ensure up-to-date lifesaving medical training.
Outside his work in emergency response and education, Dr. Jackson has found success in the entertainment industry as an actor and writer. He has published medical training manuals and articles including "Passing the Field: Help for the Paramedic Intern," and published "Humanity: The Future Report: Short and Brief" through Outskirts Press. Dr. Jackson credits his success to his hard work, dedication, and determination, and looks forward to retiring to focus on travel and family within the next decade.
