Due to his vast breadth of knowledge, Dr. Santos has contributed to a number of publications, including "Pulmonary Function in Patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy from the STRIDE Registry and the CINRG natural history study: A matched cohort analysis" and "Effect of Ataluren on Age of Loss of Ambulation in Nonsense Mutation Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy: Observational Data from the STRIDE Registry."
An expert in his field, Dr. Santos earned an MD specializing in pediatrics from Federal University of Sao Paulo's School of Medicine in 1992. Subsequently, he expanded upon his professional knowledge, earning an Executive MBA from FIA Business School. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in the teams he has built during his career. Other standout moments include helping Shire International triple its revenue in nearly three years and setting up the global medical affairs organization at Praxis.
