Ms. Quigley excelled in gerontology.

A retired registered nurse of many years, Ms. Quigley excelled in gerontology, an area of medicine focusing on the elderly population regarding the social, cultural, psychological, cognitive, and biological aspects of aging. During her respected career, she served as the director of nursing for a long-term care facility. Ms. Quigley also garnered success as a registered nurse, unit manager, and supervisor of the Dementia Skill Unit at the Goodwin House Alexandria in Virginia, which serves as a faith-based, nonprofit senior living and health care services organization for the national capital region of Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland.
Grateful for her years of serving others, Ms. Quigley attributes her success and longevity to several inspirational mentors. They were instrumental in teaching her more about her role, and they believed in her, which was instrumental in her ability to progress.
Ms. Quigley looks forward to giving back to her community in her spare time. She presently volunteers with the American Red Cross and aims to begin collaborating with other significant organizations, especially those that assist the homeless population in her area.
Becoming interested in the health care industry, Ms. Quigley noted, was while reading about the profession and the care that nurses provide. After discovering the significance of the field, she chose to pursue a career in nursing. Ms. Quigley earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from the University of the State of New York. She also received credentials as a licensed practical nurse and registered nurse.
