Drawing on over two decades of experience in law enforcement and executive protection, Ms. Draines is recognized for her expertise in high-level security assessments and risk management solutions. Prior to founding Elite Strategy Global, Inc. (ESG) in 2017, Ms. Draines was a U.S. Secret Service Special Agent. She served both the Presidential and Dignitary Protective Divisions, as well as in the White Plains and Brooklyn Field Offices. She began her law enforcement career as an Officer with the Hartford Police Department, where she was the first female in the history of the department to graduate at the top of her class.
As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of ESG, Ms. Draines leads a team of security professionals who implement high level executive protection for noteworthy clients. Her inspiration to create ESG followed intense personal tragedy. Her mother, Earlene Draines, and sister, Felecia Draines, both passed away in 2014. Through emotional drain and heartbreak, Ms. Draines channeled her energy to raise her nephew. It was a priority to provide for him in a way to make her mother and sister proud. Her "no fail" attitude catapulted her to put her training and experiences into action. "ESG was born out of my love for my family and my chosen career." Magazine's 2022 Female Founders 100 list and has been featured in ESSENCE Magazine, Fox 5 (Washington, DC) News, and publications of the University of New Haven and La Salle University. Ms. Draines earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice at La Salle University in 1997. She later earned a Master of Science in Forensic Science from the University of New Haven in 2003. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Administration, with a specialization in Homeland Security Leadership and Policy, from Northcentral University.
Looking to the future, Ms. Draines hopes to be the global leader of a company that is 100 percent minority owned and ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange to demonstrate what talented American women are capable of. She continues to serve her community as a philanthropist and member of Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA.
