Leveraging more than a decade of excellence in legal work as well as adapting to court environments, Mr. Keith has earned distinction as a District Court Judge for the State of North Carolina. Since 2015, he has focused his efforts on handling cases involving district court matters, misdemeanors and civil cases, including alimony, divorce and child support. When assuming this role at 31 years old, he was the youngest African American judge in the area.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Keith began his law career as an associate attorney for The Law Office of Thomas H. Clifton, PLLC in 2010 and became an attorney for the Cabarrus County Legal Department later that year. In 2014, he served as an attorney at law for The Law Office of Clifton and Keith for a year.
To prepare for his professional journey, Mr. Keith earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and History from North Carolina Central University in 2006. Following this achievement, he attained a Juris Doctor from the North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2009. He was then admitted to the North Carolina Bar Association in 2009.
Within the coming years, Mr. Keith intends to continue his work as a judge while developing programs and expanding extracurricular activities for the youth in his community.
