Mr. Hollands has consistently advocated for cost-effective solutions and performance improvements in public service delivery. During the early stages of his career, he gained valuable expertise in the field working for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities as the executive vice president of marketing and director of corporate development. Afterwards, as president of Innovative Service Solutions, an advocacy, public affairs, and business development firm, Bruce helped industry, federal agencies, and the not-for-profit sector access senior municipal decision-makers to create new public policy and enhance government services. Mr. Hollands is a member of the American Water Works Association, American Society of Testing and Materials, American Society of Association Executives, and serves as a member of the board of directors for Virginia Tech's Sustainable Water Infrastructure Management Center. Outside of his work, Mr. Hollands is a sponsor through World Vision International and a donor to local food banks.
An expert in his field, Mr. Hollands holds a Bachelor of Arts (honours) in history and a Bachelor of Social Sciences in political science, both from the University of Ottawa. Subsequently, he completed all the coursework required for a Master's degree in history. Due to his vast breadth of professional knowledge, he has been widely published in media and industry journals. While his career has been filled with highlights, he takes the most pride in positioning the PVC Pipe Association as the go-to for underground infrastructure water and sewer piping in North America. The cornerstone of his success lay in his passion for helping others through volunteer work.
