With more than three decades of excellence in computer science and engineering, Mr. Wen has earned distinction as a lead build and release engineer for Salesforce. Having joined the company in 2017, since 2021 he has focused his efforts on devops and release engineering for industries verticals and non-profits. He and his team write code and develop and support systems for delivery pipelines for those products.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Wen began his career working in release engineering for Oracle in 1997 and during this time was also a contractor with IBM in 2004. In 2006, he served as a test environment engineer for Google until taking a role with Sony Network Entertainment as a senior build and release manager in 2007. He continued his career as an engineering services tech lead for Splunk in 2012.
To prepare for his professional journey, Mr. Wen earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of California, Davis in 1993. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Science in computer engineering from Santa Clara University in 1996. Well-qualified in his field, he holds numerous engineering and leadership certifications, including as a Splunk certified power user 6.3, among other credentials.
Within the coming years, Mr. Wen intends to continue rising in his career, becoming a next level principal at Salesforce while engaging with projects that will have positive impacts across multiple groups. Thus far, he is most proud to have been a key to migrating a legacy production release system to a more modern, more fully automated and secure system for a more reliable outcome, the process for which he presented at a technical conference.
