Prior to his most recent role, Dr. O'Brien began his career as an administrator for the undergraduate advising office for the University of Minnesota for four years and served as the chair of the scholastic appeals committee. Additionally, he has been a member of S.A.G.-A.F.T.R.A. (Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists) since 1984. Among his professional accomplishments, he is proud to have received a Distinguished Teaching Award.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. O'Brien graduated from Lawrence University in 1969 and earned a Master of Arts in French from Loyola University Chicago in 1976. Following these achievements, he attained a Doctor of Philosophy in French from the University of Minnesota in 1985. Accounting for his success as an educator, Dr. O'Brien credits his willingness to learn, having spent his career focusing on innovations in his field.
